First let me say MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone!
Now, let me get into something that you may or may not agree with. It’s okay if you don’t. Not everyone has the same beliefs that I do.
I get emails from a site called Answers in Genesis. I love this site as it is a very good source for seeing what really happens in the world according to my Christian roots.
Anywhooo…apparently the Cincinnati Zoo and The Creation Museum partnered up to make special tickets that if people were going to go to both places, they could get a discount of $9. That’s a pretty good deal. Apparently some who aren’t believers took a huge offense to this deal and made so many comments to the zoo that the zoo backed out of the deal just 2 1/2 days after starting it. Here’s a link to follow to see about it all.
Now, here’s where I have a problem. If those people didn’t like the idea, then why did they just NOT BUY A COMBINED TICKET? Pretty simple, huh? Why is it that NON believers expect us Christians to sit back and respect their beliefs or their non-beliefs, yet they don’t give us that exact same respect? They don’t want us shoving our beliefs at them, yet they want to jam theirs down at us… Doesn’t make a lot of sense does it?
And the whole idea behind the combined ticket was to show off their Christmas scenes/decorations at BOTH places and also help to boost local monies as well by making it appealing money wise to tourists.
I’m very proud of the Creation Museum that they are still going to honor the $9 off their tickets to the museum. They are also still promoting Cincinnati Zoo as well for their city. BRAVO Creation Museum for showing them what a TRUE Christian business would do.
On the flip side…we are off in about an hour or so to the musical rehearsal at church. It’s the first time we’ll have EVERYONE together on the set. I’m nervous, but we’ve worked a LOT with all of the cast so I think it will go well. We have practices all this week except for Thursday night.
Dd and her boyfriend are going to the Snoball dance tonight. Her boyfriend’s mom and I will go up when she takes her son to meet up with the girls (they are getting ready at a friends house, then the boys are meeting them) and that way we both get to take pictures of them before they go off to dinner and the dance. I know I’ll cry. She has the most gorgeous dress and jewelry too. They grow up WAY too fast. She informed me yesterday that she only had 5 months and a week til she was 16 and gets her driver’s license. LOL
Well, I hope and pray that you all have a great weekend!
