April 8th, 2008

Yes…I know…3 posts in one day! lol

But I realized that I hadn’t posted my update on my giant rippleghan. I don’t know how to stop it from cutting off my picture…it’s driving me nuts!! lol Oh yea…this afghan is 7′ 10″ wide!!

giant ripple as of 4-6-08a

  1. I found your blog via the wordpress tags. I think that your ripple is gorgeous. What pattern are you using?

  2. To be honest, I cannot remember where I got the pattern. I’ve been crocheting for 35 years and sometimes I just go for it and hope it turns out okay! lol

It is all dc with 3 dc on the peaks and 3dc together on the valleys with 6 dc in between. I hope that helps!

I’m brand spanking new to wordpress as of the 8th of April, so still trying to see all there is to this blogging site.

Thank you for the nice comment.

  3. The blanket looks great! I like the colors you are using and 7′ is huge! That will be a major accomplishment to finish a blanket of that size.
To fix the large picture problem: When you insert your picture in the visual tab, click on the dimension boxes. A number will load in each box. Reset these to 500 x 389. Switch the number for a portrait picture.
You can also change these numbers in the HTML tab. Just look for height= and width= and adjust them with the numbers above.
This only happens to me when I use my Photobucket account. When you use a photo hosted by Flickr the pictures are automatically adjusted when you add the link.
